I'm heading to NY in three weeks and have the 'must do' tourist things I want to see covered, but I need to get out of the tourist throng and see other places in NYC. I'm not interested in museums/art galleries. Happy to wander the streets and soak up the sights and atmosphere.

I have Harlem covered, but not sure about the other neighbourhoods.

Brooklyn: I'm doing a walking tour, a foodie tour with Ziggy. Labor Day West Indian Parade, and I'll head to Brooklyn Heights Promenade. I'm sure there's lots more :)

Queens: I'm spending two weeks at the tennis, but the first week I'll only be attending morning or evening sessions. Gantry Plaza State Park and a Mets game, but not sure where/what else.

Bronx: I have several visits to Yankee Stadium planned. Is there anything else (other than the Zoo) I should see?
